My Bespoke Functional Movement Plans are all about re-training your body to move as it should! Implementing these plans is my favourite part of my job, as the results can be life-changing.

Do you have recurring injuries? That niggle that comes and goes? Let’s get to the root of the issue, rather than just sticking a plaster on it. Together we’ll understand why this pain is happening and re-train the area to work correctly, mitigating the risk of you getting injured by building up joint immunity. Your body will be equipped and ready for whatever you throw at it!
The first step in this process is an assessment. During this we will analyse how you move. Your tendencies, imbalances, alignment, control and strength. Looking at current movement limitations and which areas are compensating. If you have a specific complaint we will focus on this and then look at the movement around it. I will also consider the movements you need for your sport or chosen activities, making sure you have the mobility required for these. Working with coaches and personal trainers where applicable to modify your plans.

I will then create a plan we can implement to start retraining your joints and nervous system to create correct firing patterns. This will incorporate functional range conditioning, biomechanics training and mobility. We’ll start with basic exercises and mobility, constantly considering your body’s response and your performance in your sport or daily life. The aim is to make sure you’re set up to smash your goals in sport or fitness, or simply in your day-to-day life!
Following 12 weeks in the plan, I will fully re-assess your body again. Throughout the 12 weeks I will adapt according to the progress we have made. This ensures you keep moving forward and your body keeps gaining functionality. I will usually advise 12 weeks in programme to see substantial changes and results in the body.
